Talking Tiger Singing along to the song, "Dont Worry Be Happy"

For my final Art Exam Mr. Sands had us use a child's painting of a tiger and add mouths to make it sing talk and show expressions. I chose the song "Dont Worry Be Happy" by Bob Marley

Storm

For this project I wanted to do a comic book character. Originally this was Beyonce, but I changed it to Storm from X-Men. The hair has been cropped and colored along with the eyebrows and skin tone. As for her eyes, I just painted over them.

Face touch ups

Face try #2

What is this bizarre animal?

Um I'm not exactly sure what this is supposed to be... It started off as a donut, then a jellyfish, and finally into this thing. It looks like an owl porcupine thing.

Humpty dumpty

One thing I never got as a kid is that if humpty  had feet, wouldn't he be a chick? In the stories he falls off and yolk oozes out. Weird huh... Haha anyways, click on it! It makes it a really cool video.

Will the cat get the odd fish? Or will the fish paly with the cats mind?

Peekaboo!

Zebra-fish?

Trying to find an animal that is different than the everyday thing you see is a challenge. It's a good thing there's Google to give some great ideas! Cutting the fish out was very time consuming. At first it seemed like it would be easy, but its not, haha, it was very challenging. The clean edges were also hard to achieve. To be able to make the fish look like part of the zebra I had to change the color of the fish by painting it. For as hard as it was I think I did a decent job; these animals were very time consuming.

Strawberry frogs, yum or yuck?

Strawberry Frogs :)
I chose something that is a food and an animal. I tryed to stay away for the obvious, but it was sort of had to think of something bizarre or unique. The edges are clean and not jagged. In my personal opinion the cuts and paists aren't noticeable. I tried to blend the strawberries into the frogs, but it was gard to get it to look like the strawberry was part of the frog. In the end it worked out. I also tried to demonstrate Juxaposition. My contrast was the red strawberry frongs against the green leaves. Truthfully there really isn't an irony behind the strawberry frogs.

Frogs coming out

My overall thoughts of this piece, The Frog Tongue, are positive. Haha, I like how in photo shop you can turn a normal looking frog into the most bizarre tongue. I feel like I've ;earned a lot from this project. So, yea, I do feel pretty successful. What worked out really well is turning the frog and changing its appearance, but switching it back and forth, threw me in a loop. I kept on forgetting to change it over of switch it back. If I were to do this project again I would be a little more careful and try to remember to change witch layer I had it on. The most difficult part was blending the frog into the original tongue. I learned a little bit more about photo shop and how to use it.
